Yellow Furniture Is Trending Right Now

Whether it's the current heat wave this summer or the shades of the sun that are seen in famous fashionistas, the yellow color is great news at the moment.

From the yellow Stella McCartney dress by Amal Clooney at the royal wedding, the bright yellow dress Brandon Maxwell by Meghan Markle at the Your Commonwealth Youth Challenge reception and Kate Middleton's Dolce & Gabbana yellow dress at Wimbledon, the recent fashion outlets at High profile have undoubtedly fueled the madness for Canarian colors.

As the color of happiness and sunlight, yellow always brings a feeling of optimism and is the best color to lift spirits.

But, of course, yellow is not a color only limited to fashion. It has been used for a long time at home to add a touch of color much needed to interiors, and, for example, yellow and gray are a popular color scheme to opt for decoration.

But according to new sales data from furniture retailer Swoon, searches for yellow furniture have doubled in recent months. The company says sales of yellow velvets have increased throughout June and July, with orders from the outstanding Munich Sofa in Honey up to 50 percent. Since yellow, an already popular color and velvet, is one of the most popular materials of the year, we are not too surprised.

And if you need more proof that housewives opt for statement sun shades, Swoon reveals that more than a third of custom furniture orders feature the Honey and Biscuit velvet combination.

With 'gen-z yellow' apparently replacing 'millennial pink', it seems that this vibrant tone of statement, and all its various nuances, are here to stay.

1) Match with gray

A small touch of lemon goes a long way against a soft and white gray velvet background, and it's something we've seen explored by professionals at Houzz. This is a sure way to start experimenting with yellow, and it's easy to change a lamp shade and cushions for another color to change the look of the room with a minimum of effort and expense.

2) Do not forget the garden

Garden furniture is often not very colorful, although it is only used in sunny climates. Change all this and choose yellow chairs that will tempt you to eat out at every opportunity.

3) Make temporary adjustments

If you are not sure, there is no need to commit permanently to yellow. Adding cushion covers or a touch of yellow on a row of feathers is a great way to use fresh color in your interior design. We have seen this approach from many Houzz users who adore a brightly colored design.

4) Work a single statement

A single piece in bright yellow daffodil is sometimes all that a room needs. The bold use of color can ingeniously update an ordinary piece of furniture into something fabulous.

5) Equipment with sophisticated finishes

Yellow is not just a fun and flirty color that is best preserved for the box of crayons; You can also add a real dose of high-end sophistication. The dark wood furniture can be too shady on its own, but the golden yellow gleams can elevate a room to a completely modern design.
